PRIMS' core strengths were first founded
during research and development of Operations
Management Systems and Utilities primarily to
serve the needs of the mass manufacturing SME
community. Our tailored solutions recognise the
innate incompatibility of the classic MRP
approach with a typical SME's operating and
competitive strengths. Rather than seeking to
implement yet another inflexible Material
Resource Planning dictate, we aim to preserve
the autonomous flexibility recognised as
inherent strengths of an SME's structure. By
aiming to provide timely Decision Support
Analyses, our systems are designed to bolster
and integrate with Lean Manufacturing (e.g.
KanBan/Visual Management) methodologies,
empowering management holons to make better
informed decisions when, for example;

Wherever
possible we will leverage any information in
your existing systems, often
mapping real-time Sales and Purchasing data from
your accounting systems against the PrimS model
of your work-shop and operations. For example we
may provide a
Microsoft Access interface to your Sage
accounting package, driving the demand model
directly from on-the-books and forecast sales
data, while also incorporating current inventory
levels. This allows you to analyse
and view the data in the precise format which
works best with your business processes, all at
the press of a button or two.
