Overview
PrimS was first founded to capitalise on SME
Operations Management research and development
utilising commonplace Microsoft Office tools. By working primarily with familiar software
like Microsoft Office, our systems proved to be;
- Relatively painless to commission,
- Extremely cost-effective,
- Easily accessible to small and larger
clients alike.
As our client portfolio grew, time and again
we were being asked back to put our MS Office
expertise to good use, developing further
bespoke systems, including as examples;
- PPAP (Prototype Part Approval Process)
analysis tools,
- Freight Booking/Monitoring tools
- Equipment Effectiveness Monitors
- Time and Attendance Systems
- Management Information Report generation
and delivery
Commonsense teaches that much of the
operating data, and many of the processing
requirements are unique to each organisation.
However, with each project we complete we
identify and assess general and industry
specific commonalities and bearing in mind the
potential cost savings to all our clients of a
generic, object-oriented approach we, also
investing in our own future, continue to devote
a significant amount of time and resource to
pursue any potentially generic functionality,
thereby striving to ensure you benefit fully of
all our experience to date.
While the Clients we
work with may be experts in their own field,
they are rarely experts in computing and it is
therefore especially important that the systems
we develop are able to continuously evolve in
line with the Client's appreciation of the
system's capabilities and potential. A bespoke
application developed to service the individual
Client has many advantages over the restrictions
imposed by rigidly specified or off-the-shelf
software and we therefore like to take an
iterative approach to design, involving the
Client wherever possible.
The experience and
expertise a PrimS consultant will bring to the
project ensures that the fundamental core of the
application is prim and proper, appropriately
structured to facilitate modular incorporation
of Client's suggestions and requests subsequent
to the initial design stages.
